We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Nina Heckova to senior paralegal at Alcorn Immigration Law.
Nina joined the team as a legal secretary in January 2017. In her new role, Nina will assist the attorneys with drafting complex applications and petitions, meeting with clients, and managing cases to minimize delays.
She knows how it feels to want to live and work in the U.S. That had been her dream for several years before she left her homeland of Slovakia. Given that, she says “I’m enthusiastic about helping and guiding our clients to follow their dreams.”
Before joining the Alcorn Immigration Law team, Nina spent several years working at Fortune 500 companies as an editor and proofreader of financial documents. Through that work experience, she sharpened her attention to detail and her talent for managing people and large projects.
Nina made the transition to immigration law, seeking to work in a field “that made me feel I was making a real difference in people’s quality of life.” She now does that on a daily basis. “I’m excited that many of the clients and beneficiaries of my work are from many different places,” she says.
We’re thrilled to have Nina on our team and congratulate her on her promotion!
