I love helping people. As an immigrant myself, I feel very privileged to help make the immigration process easier for someone else.
I’m originally from Italy and came to the United States on a marriage-based green card. At the time, my husband and I were both just out of school and didn’t have a lot of money, so we went through the green card process on our own without an attorney. But an issue came up that added a few weeks to the time I had to spend apart from my husband. I was very young and that was a very stressful time not having someone there to support me. When I became eligible to become a U.S. citizen, I hired an attorney.
I’ve lived in seven countries and learned the languages spoken in each of those countries. I am fluent in English, of course. L’italiano è la mia lingua madre. Je parle couramment le français. Türkçe konuşuyorum. I also speak Kazakh, a little bit of Russian, and I can read Urdu.
I enjoy working with people and doing immigration casework. I was so impressed by the staff at Alcorn and the fact that Alcorn was women-led. That was important to me. I am also very grateful for the work-life balance that Alcorn provides.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, my children, and our young Labradoodle, Falkor, and traveling.
