How well do you understand the visa application process? Well, a lot goes into it actually. And there are several dos and don’ts that you need to consider if you opt for a speedy, favorable outcome.
Therefore, it’s important to keep these best practices handy to make sure you leave no stone unturned before beginning with the visa process.
1. Understand the timing.
There are a lot of visas and green cards and a lot of government agencies involved. So every combination is going to lead to a different outcome in terms of timing. You will also find that not every type of case qualifies for premium processing.
2. Find out what is required by a particular process.
Gather as many personal documents and company documents as you can at the beginning of the process or even before you start. Get all of those scanned in your existing online organizational file-sharing system.
3. Be precise about the filings you’re sharing with the U.S. government.
Be super clear about following the directions on where to sign each place on the form. Sometimes, forms can require blue or black ink. You’re also not allowed to use DocuSign or HelloSign for U.S. government correspondence. Never miss any signatures especially when you’re up against the filing deadline and time is of the essence.
USCIS is constantly updating the forms due to the changes in the law and government policy. So it’s really important that nobody is using any outdated versions of the forms that can no longer be accepted.
Following Best Practices for Best Outcomes
You want everybody to be on the same page from the very beginning. It does require some time, attention, effort, and diligence. But rest assured that the results speak for themselves – and they’re more than worth it!
