Join me in sharing our individual and family stories about immigrating to the U.S. this Thursday evening, June 16, at Deutsche Bank Labs in Palo Alto. As a Silicon Valley immigration lawyer, I treasure the amazing stories of triumph I hear from my clients.
This event is one in a series of gatherings and conversations during Immigrant Heritage Month designed to capture and celebrate America’s origins and strength as a nation of immigrants.
As the daughter of an immigrant and an immigration lawyer—and now as an immigration lawyer myself—I know the challenges of straddling two countries and cultures and the gifts that come from these mixed cultural perspectives.
Thursday’s event, which is sponsored by the Silicon Valley Chapter of FWD.us, is free and open to the public. FWD.us is an advocacy organization created to mobilize the tech community to promote comprehensive immigration reform and ensure a talented workforce, investment and innovation.
The festivities on Thursday start at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. Food and drinks will be served. To make sure plenty of refreshments are on hand, please let FWD.us know here if you plan to attend. Deutsche Bank Labs is located at 2650 Birch St., Palo Alto. See you there!
